OfficeScan uses
this setting only during fresh
client installations. The
installation program checks the network domain to which a target computer
belongs. If the domain name already exists in the
client tree,
OfficeScan groups the
client on the target computer
under that domain and will apply the settings configured for the
domain. If the domain name does not exist,
OfficeScan adds
the domain to the
client tree, groups
the
client under that domain,
and then applies the root settings to the domain and
client.
