Viewing Virus/Malware Logs Parent topic

The OfficeScan client generates logs when it detects viruses and malware and sends the logs to the server.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to one of the following:
    • LogsNetworked Computer LogsSecurity Risks
    • Networked ComputersClient Management
  2. In the client tree, click the root domain icon (icon_root-4.bmp) to include all clients or select specific domains or clients.
  3. Click LogsVirus/Malware Logs or View LogsVirus/Malware Logs.
  4. Specify the log criteria and then click Display Logs.
  5. View logs. Logs contain the following information:
    • Date and time of virus/malware detection
    • Infected computer
    • Virus/Malware name
    • Infection source
    • Infected file
    • Scan type that detected the virus/malware
    • Scan results

    • IP address
    • MAC address
    • Log details (Click View to see the details.)
  6. To save logs to a comma-separated value (CSV) file, click Export to CSV. Open the file or save it to a specific location.
    The CSV file contains the following information:
    • All information in the logs
    • User name logged on to the computer at the time of detection
