Install Control Manager Agent for InterScan VirusWall for UNIX

InterScan VirusWall for Unix installs a variant of the Trend VCS agent, using its own installation routine.

To install the agent:

Run the InterScan VirusWall installation script.
Choose 1. Install InterScan VirusWall sub-system.
Choose 6. Modify option of InterScan VirusWall for TVCS.
Type "y".
Choose 9. Start Installation.

Registering the InterScan VirusWall Agent with a Control Manager server

You must register the InterScan VirusWall agent with a Control Manager server. You can do either the InterScan VirusWall management console, or the installation script.

Using the Web-based management console

After installing the Trend VCS Agent for InterScan VirusWall, do the following:

Open the InterScan Web-based management console.
Choose TVCS Registration from the left-hand menu.
Click Register.

Using the Installation Script

From the UNIX machine where you have installed InterScan VirusWall, run or re-run the InterScan installation program and then choose option 3.
Type a Site name for the InterScan machine and the IP address of the Control Manager server.

To make InterScan appear under the same folder in the Product Directory, use the same Site name that was specified in previous iterations of the agent installation program.
