Procedure

  1. Go to the Customers screen and click the Non-Trend Micro Customers tab.
  2. Select the check boxes next to the clients you want to associate with a Trend Micro Account.
  3. Click Import to Trend Micro.
    The Integrate ConnectWise Automate Customers with Trend Micro Accounts wizard appears at Step 1 - Select Customers.
  4. In the Trend Micro Customer Account drop-down list:
    • Select + Create a new Trend Micro Account to register a new customer in Licensing Management Platform
    • Select from your existing Licensing Management Platform customers not already assigned to another account

    Each customer can only be assigned once.
  5. Click Next >.
    The Step 2 - Set Notification Email screen appears.
  6. Select whether new Trend Micro customer accounts receive notifications directly from Trend Micro or whether Trend Micro sends the notifications directly to your email account only.
    • Only send customer notifications to my email address (xxx@partner.com): Trend Micro sends all customer notifications directly to your email address
    • Send notifications directly to the email address of the customer: Trend Micro sends all customer notifications directly to the customer's email address
  7. Click Next >.
    The Step 3 - Assign Service Plan screen appears.
  8. Select a Service Plan for each customer.
  9. Verify that the number of Seats allocated to each customer is correct, then click Next > to add the selected customers to the list.

    You must have sufficient licenses available in Licensing Management Platform for the number of selected ConnectWise Automate customers. If you do not have sufficient licenses available, the plug-in only imports the first customers in the list for which licenses are available.
    The Step 4 - Assign Template screen appears.
  10. In the Template drop-down list, assign a template to each customer.

    The settings applied by the original template used for preexisting Trend Micro customers may have been customized. Verify all settings after assigning templates to ensure your customers receive the best possible protection.
  11. Click Integrate.
    The Step 5 - Complete Integration screen appears.
  12. Click Done.
