Views:
  1. Open the Sync Agent.

    By default, the Sync Agent displays the Overview tab.

  2. Click Update Now to download new virus patterns and scan engine versions.
    Note:

    • On first use, the Sync Agent automatically checks and downloads for updates.

    • To enable the Sync Agent to automatically download updates at a specified time, enable Scheduled Update.

  3. On the main Sync Agent console, click Settings to review the default configuration

    Update the settings according to your preference.

  4. Verify that the Sync Agent Activation Code has not yet expired.

    For more information, see Activation Code Status.

    Note:

    The Sync Agent is unable to download the latest updates if the Sync Agent is not registered, has an expired Activation Code, or is unable to establish a connection to the Control Manager server. To minimize issues, Trend Micro recommends getting a new Activation code before the current one expires.
