Understand how your Trend Vision One licenses automatically convert into credits.

Starting in January 2026, all Trend Vision One licenses transitioned to a simplified credits model, and the Trend Vision One Credits license became the only license available for purchase. To view a credit balance snapshot from January 5, 2026 and understand which of your licenses converted to credits, go to Platform Usage and Credits → Credits overview and click Learn how licenses convert to credits.
In Trend Vision One, all existing licenses for Trend Vision One solutions automatically convert to credits. The converted credits you receive from your licenses retain the same value, utility, and expiration date as the original license, but provide added flexibility.

Important
You do not need to take any action to convert your existing Trend Vision One licenses into credits. Trend Micro automatically calculates the equivalent credit value of your existing license and adds the converted credits to your credit balance.
When calculating your credit balance, Trend Vision One rounds converted credits up to the next whole number.
Different license types calculate the equivalent credit conversion in different ways:
  • Existing Trend Vision One credits: Trend Vision One divides the original number of purchased credits by the number of months in the original license term, then multiplies by the number of remaining months.

    For example, if you purchased a one-year contract for 12,000 credits on October 1, 2025, Trend Vision One automatically calculated your remaining credit balance after January 1, 2026 as follows:
    Calculation: (12,000 credits ÷ 12 months) * 9 remaining months = 9,000 credits
  • Other licenses: Trend Vision One multiplies the number of license units by the credit requirement of the associated solution, then multiplies by the number of the remaining months (including partial months).

    For example, if you purchased a one-year contract on October 1, 2025 for 100 units of Cyber Risk Exposure Management - Core—a package with a credit requirement of 1.67 credits per desktop or server—Trend Vision One automatically converted your license to 1,503 credits after January 1, 2026.
    Calculation: (1.67 credits/unit * 100 units) * 9 remaining months = 1,503 credits
