Use Endpoint Inventory to update your customers' endpoint agents from Worry-Free to TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security.

Before you start the update process, review the following notes:
  • Supported Agents: The update process supports Worry-Free Services Security Agent version 6.7.4082 or later on Windows platforms with the TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security agent installed.
    Support for macOS agents is coming soon.
    To update unsupported endpoints or agent types, uninstall the current protection agent and install the TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security agent. For more information, see Deploy agents.
  • Permanent Update: Once the update begins, the process cannot be paused or reversed. The Worry-Free agent will be automatically removed and replaced with the new TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security agent.
  • Compliance Considerations: Review the TrendAI Vision One™ data privacy, security, and compliance information to understand how the update may affect your environment. If you have specific regulatory requirements (such as PCI Security Standards), please review the documentation carefully before continuing.
  • Post-Update Tasks: After the update, verify that all endpoints successfully upgraded, review any flagged issues that need attention, and ensure each endpoint is assigned to an endpoint security policy.

You can use Endpoint Inventory in your TrendAI Vision One™ for Service Providers console to automatically update selected customer endpoints from the Worry-Free agent to the TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security agent with Standard Endpoint Protection features. The process allows you to update one customer's endpoints at a time.
The update process also performs the following actions:
  • Provisions a Standard Endpoint Protection Manager in the target customer's TrendAI Vision One™ console if one does not already exist.
After the update process completes, verify your customers' security policies and that endpoints are able to connect with TrendAI Vision One™.

Procedure

  1. In the TrendAI Vision One™ for Service Providers console, go to Security SolutionsEndpoint InventoryEndpoints and click the target customer to update.

    You can only update endpoints from one customer at a time.
  2. If this is your first time updating Worry-Free agents for this customer, create the Standard Endpoint Protection instance.
    1. Select one or two Worry-Free agents and click Update Worry-Free agent.
    2. When prompted, confirm the information about updating agents and click Accept.
    3. Specify a unique Display name.
    4. Select the region.
    5. Specify a description for the instance.
    6. Click Create.
      Your customer's TrendAI Vision One™ console creates the Standard Endpoint Protection instance. The task might take up to 20 minutes to complete depending on your customer's environment. While the instance provisions, you cannot update Worry-Free agents.
  3. After creating the Standard Endpoint Protection instance, update your customer's agents.
    1. Select the endpoints you want to update.

      You can select up to a maximum of 200 endpoints to update at a time.
    2. Click Update Worry-Free agent.
      The Update Worry-Free agent window appears.
    3. Select the Endpoint group to assign the endpoints after updating.
    4. Review the list of selected agents for compatibility.
      Any agent that is not supported or compatible displays a caution icon (diamondWarningIcon=GUID-ec75f229-4f04-49eb-9615-8b6072cb1cee.png). These agents are unable to update and will not run the update task.
    5. After reviewing, click Update.
      TrendAI Vision One™ for Service Providers creates the update task and sends the request to all connected endpoints. Allow up to 30 minutes for the update task to complete. Disconnected agents start the task as soon as they reconnect.
      Updated agents display the Standard Endpoint Protection instance you selected.
  4. After the update task finishes, review your customer's endpoints to ensure they are able to connect and have the correct policy assignments.
