To estimate your total credit needs, you must calculate the sum of your estimated credit needs for each Trend Vision One solution you plan to use. You can use the credit calculator to do so, or contact your Trend Micro representative to access the Excel spreadsheet version of the credit calculator.
The credit calculator works as follows:
  • Calculate the total credits required for a given solution package:
    Annual credit requirement of the package * estimated number of units * contract term (in years) = credits required for the package
  • Repeat for every Trend Vision One solution package you want to use.
  • Add up your estimated credit usage for all solutions packages you plan to use.
    Credits required for Package A + credits required for Package B + credits required for Package C = total credits required
For example, if you plan to use Endpoint Security Essentials and Email and Collaboration Security Core, you can calculate your required credits as follows:
  • Endpoint Security Essentials: 65 credits per endpoint annually * 100 endpoints * 1 year = 6,500 credits
  • Email and Collaboration Security Core: 25 credits per user annually * 500 users * 1 year = 12,500 credits
  • Total credits needed: 6,500 + 12,500 = 19,000 credits

Note that instead of purchasing solution-specific licenses, you can now simply purchase a TrendAI™ Flex (credits) license for the total number of credits you need and use those credits to enable all Trend Vision One solution packages.
However, if you already purchased individual Trend Vision One solution SKUs, you do not lose any value—your solution SKUs automatically convert to credits in the Trend Vision One and contribute to your credit balance. For more information, see Why are my licenses calculated into credits?
