If you are using another antivirus product (like ServerProtect) on the Domino server where you plan to install ScanMail, be sure to configure that antivirus product to exclude from scanning ScanMail "smd" and temporary directories for each partition. Otherwise, a scanning conflict may occur. Refer to Configuring Exceptions for Directories for details.
