This section describes the steps required to edit a Content Filtering policy.
Procedure
- On the left menu, click Content Filtering.The Content Filtering screen appears.
- From the Content Filtering screen, click the policy name
link you want to edit.The Content Filtering: Edit Policy screen appears.
- Select or clear the Enable this policy checkbox to enable or disable the policy.
- Edit the following as required:

Policy name
-
Description
-
- Click the Target tab, and from the
Match drop down, select from the following
options:

Any specified keyword—select this option if you want this rule to trigger when any keyword is found and matched

All keywords—select this option if you want this rule to trigger when all keywords are found and matched
Note
You can export or import a keyword list to or from a text file (.txt) using the Export or Import keys located next to the keyword list.

- To add or remove keyword(s):
- Type a keyword or regular expression in the Enter
keyword(s) field, then, click
Add.

See About Regular Expressions for more information about using regular expressions with PortalProtect. - To remove a keyword, select it from the existing list, and click Remove.
- Type a keyword or regular expression in the Enter
keyword(s) field, then, click
Add.
- Select Match case if you want to match the case of the listed keywords.
- Set Match synonym settings according to the
following:
- Click Show details to expand the synonym settings section.
- Select a keyword from the keyword list to display its synonym(s) in the Synonyms to exclude window.
- Move one or more synonyms to the left Synonyms to include window. Multi-select using the Ctrl key.
- Click the Exceptions tab and add or edit any exceptions

- Click the Action tab and choose from the
following:

Block
-
Pass
-
Notify
-
Do not notify
-
- Click the Notification tab, and choose the appropriate
settings.See Step 4. Content Filtering: Add Policy > Specify Notification for more information.
- Click Save.
