Central uses
Management Communication Protocol (MCP) agents installed on managed servers to
communicate with managed products that do not register to the Apex
Central server through
the Apex
Central management
console.
An MCP agent communicates with the Apex
Central server by
sending a heartbeat at a regular interval to indicate that the managed product is
operating normally.
Administrators can configure the Agent Communication Schedule to determine
when agents send heartbeats to the Apex
Central server.
