Grant Necessary Role for SQL Server Reporting Service Parent topic

If you have created an account for SecureCloud services, configure the Content Manager role for that user.

Procedure

  1. Use your Internet browser to connect to the Report Manager URL.

    Determine the Report Manager URL from the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
  2. Log on to the Windows server using administrator credentials.

  3. Click Properties > New Role Assignment.

    On the Windows server, ensure that you are logged on using administrator credentials.
  4. Assign the Content Manager role to the SecureCloud service account created in the previous topic.

    During installation, you need the permissions of the Content Manager role to use the Reporting Server. This allows you to create the template folder, upload the template, and create a data source on the reporting server. After deployment, you can remove these permissions. You only need the permissions of the Browser and Publisher roles then.
    If you are using your domain account as the SecureCloud service account, follow the <domain>\<user name> convention for the Group or user name field.
    If the user has administrator privileges, you can skip this step.
  5. Verify that the role assignment is saved.
