Windows Server Core 是 Windows Server 版本的「最小」安裝。在 Server Core 中：
許多 Windows Server 選項和功能都已移除。
伺服器是執行極精簡的核心作業系統。
工作大部分都必須從命令列介面執行。
作業系統只執行少數服務，而且在啟動期間只需要少量資源。
