Viewing Security Agent Icons in the Windows System Tray

The following table describes the Security Agent icons that display in the Windows system tray.

Icon

Meaning

Status is normal

The Security Agent is performing an update.

(Animated) A Manual Scan or Scheduled Scan is running. The Security Agent is using Conventional Scan or Smart Scan.

Action is necessary:

Real-time Scan is disabled
Restart required in order to fully clean malware
Restart required due to an updated engine
Restart required in order to restore files encrypted by ransomware
Update is necessary

Open the Security Agent console to see what action is required.
Restart required to apply Data Loss Prevent or Device Control settings
Chrome or Firefox restart required to apply HTTPS Web Threat Protection settings
