Reset multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your account to set up MFA again on a device.
You can reset MFA for your own account from the Account Settings screen. Reset your MFA when you replace or lose access to your MFA device, or when
you want to move MFA to a different device. After you reset MFA, you set up MFA again
and record a new MFA reset code.
To reset your own MFA, you need one of the following:
-
Access to your current MFA device
-
Your MFA reset code
Procedure
- Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner of the TrendAI Vision One™ console, and then click Account Settings.
- Click the Multi-factor authentication toggle to disable MFA for your account.
- Verify your identity.Enter the verification code from your current MFA device, or enter your MFA reset code.
- Click the Multi-factor authentication toggle again to enable MFA.
- Set up MFA for your device and record your new MFA reset code. For more information, see Enable and configure multi-factor authentication.
MFA is reset for your account. The next time you sign in or perform an operation that
requires MFA, provide the verification code from your new MFA device.
NoteIf you no longer have access to your MFA device and do not have your MFA reset code,
you cannot reset MFA yourself. Ask an administrator in your organization to reset
MFA for your account. For more information, see Reset MFA for another user account (Admin-level MFA reset).
