Update your endpoint agents from Worry-Free to TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security Standard Endpoint Protection.

Before you start the update process, review the following notes:
  • Supported Agents: The update process supports endpoints with Worry-Free Services Security Agent and the TrendAI Vision One™ agent installed.
    Migration for Windows requires the Worry-Free Services Security Agent version 6.7.4082 or later.
    Migration for macOS requires the Worry-Free Services Security Agent version 3.7.2050 or later.
    To update unsupported endpoints or agent types, uninstall the current protection agent and install the TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security agent. For more information about agent deployment, see Deploy agents.
  • Permanent Update: Once the update begins, the process cannot be paused or reversed. The Worry-Free agent will be automatically removed and replaced with the new TrendAI Vision One™ agent.
  • Compliance Considerations: Review the TrendAI Vision One™ data privacy, security, and compliance information to understand how the update may affect your environment. If you have specific regulatory requirements (such as PCI Security Standards), please review the documentation carefully before continuing.
  • Policy Settings: You can choose to migrate the Windows and Mac policies of the Device (Default) group from Worry-Free. Verify that the agents you plan to update can connect to TrendAI Vision One™ with the default policy settings. If you prefer not to migrate settings, review the default policy assignment and settings in TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security Policies. Updated agents not assigned a policy adopt the default assignment.

  • Post-Update Tasks: After the update, verify that all endpoints successfully upgraded, review any flagged issues that need attention, and ensure each endpoint is assigned to an endpoint security policy.
  • clock_icon=4b003b65-3058-4609-b2e5-a7e5b7b57973.png Time: The agent update process might take up to 30 minutes to complete depending on the number of agents, connection availability, and other factors within your customer's environment. Allow an additional 20 to 40 minutes to provision Standard Endpoint Protection and migrate Worry-Free group and policy settings.
  • Offline agents: Offline agents start the update process once they reconnect with TrendAI Vision One™.

If your TrendAI Vision One™ console displays a banner message to update your Worry-Free agents to TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security, you can click Update all to automatically update all of your managed endpoints from the Worry-Free agent to the TrendAI Vision One™ agent with Standard Endpoint Protection features.

If you only want to update a few selected endpoints, click Partial update to open your Worry-Free console and perform the update. For more information, see Update selected Worry-Free agents to TrendAI Vision One™.
After the update process completes, verify your security policies and that endpoints are able to connect with TrendAI Vision One™.

Procedure

  1. In your TrendAI Vision One™ console, locate the banner message and click Update all.
  2. When prompted, confirm the information about updating agents and click Accept.
  3. Select an option for Protection Manager.
    • Select Use an existing instance to assign management of your updated agents to an existing Standard Endpoint Protection Manager.
    • Select Create new instance to provision a new Standard Endpoint Protection Manager for your updated agents. This might take 20 minutes to complete before the update process starts.
  4. Configure the protection manager.
    • If you select Use an existing instance, select the Standard Endpoint Protection Manager to assign your updated agents.
    • If you select Create new instance, configure the following settings:
      • Display name: provide a unique name for the protection manager
      • Region: select the region for the protection manager
      • Description: provide a description for the protection manager
  5. Select whether to Migrate default group and policy settings from Worry-Free.
    • Select Yes to migrate the Windows and Mac policies of the Device (Default) group from Worry-Free. This might take 20 minutes to complete before the update process starts.
    • Select No to use only the group and policy settings in TrendAI Vision One™.
  6. If you chose an existing instance and select No to Migrate default group and policy settings from Worry-Free, you must select the Endpoint group for Windows and Endpoint group for macOS to assign the updated agents.
  7. Click Update to start the update process.
  8. After the update task finishes, review your endpoints to ensure they are able to connect and have the correct policy assignments.
