Gain insight into CVEs in your environment by connecting your Tanium Comply data source with Trend Vision One.

Connect your Tanium Comply account to Trend Vision One to gain access to endpoint information and CVE detections in order to enhance risk analyses in Attack Surface Risk Management.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to your Tanium account as a user with user creation permissions.
  2. Go to AdministrationPermissionsUsers.
  3. Click New User and complete the user details.
  4. Under Roles, click Manage Roles.
  5. Select Comply Report Reviewer and API Gateway User and then click Apply.
  6. Under Computer Groups, click Manage Computer Groups.
  7. Deselect the default No Computers group and select All Computers or only the groups about which you wish to collect data.
  8. Click Save.
    The new user is displayed on the Users screen.
  9. Sign in to your Tanium Account as the newly created user with API Gateway User and Comply Report Viewer roles.
  10. Go to AdministrationPermissionsAPI Tokens and click New API Token.
  11. Fill in a description of the token and the number of days until expiry.
  12. In the Trusted IP addresses field, add the URL of your Tanium server and the Trend Vision One IP addresses for your region. See Firewall exception requirements for Trend Vision One for your regional IP addresses.
  13. Click Save.
    The Tanium API token generates and is displayed on the console. Ensure you copy the token.
  14. In the Trend Vision One console, go to Workflow and AutomationThird-Party Integration and click Tanium Comply.
    You are directed to the Tanium Comply data source drawer in Attack Surface Risk ManagementData Sources.
  15. Turn on Data upload permission.
  16. Input the URL of your Tanium server in the URL field.
  17. Input the newly generated API token in the API token field.
  18. Click Save.
