March 23, 2026—The Agentless Vulnerability & Threat Detection version 1.603.03150442 release introduces audit log support for AWS. Scan lifecycle events and resource-level errors are now recorded in TrendAI Vision One™ Audit Logs on a per-region basis, giving security teams visibility into when scans start, progress, complete, and encounter failures across each cloud region.
  • Cloud platform: AWS
  • Release date: March 23, 2026
  • Deployment method: CloudFormation, Terraform
  • New feature:
    • Agentless Vulnerability & Threat Detection now generates entries in TrendAI Vision One™ Audit LogsSystem Logs under the Agentless Vulnerability & Threat Detection category. The following events are recorded:
      • Scan started: Logged per region when a scan begins, including the scan trigger type, cloud provider, account ID, region, and a count of disks, container images, and serverless functions targeted for scanning in that region.
      • Scan in progress: Logged per region as the scan advances, showing the current completion percentage.
      • Scan completed: Logged per region when a scan finishes, highlighting the total duration, and the number of resources successfully scanned out of the total targeted resources.
      • Resource scan error: Logged when an individual resource cannot be scanned, including the account ID, resource type, resource ID, region, and the underlying error message.
  • Enhancement:
    • Introduced anti-malware scan caching for scanned machine AMI, reducing redundant scans and improving overall scanning efficiency.
    • Improved scanning performance for EBS volumes by supporting an additional direct-access scanning method.
