Integrate your GitHub organization with Trend Vision One to help you understand misconfiguration and compliance violation information and to view code repository scan findings.

Prerequisites:
  • Access to GitHub as an Organization Owner. If you are not the GitHub organization owner, you must send a request to an owner to install this app.

    This app can be installed on your individual account if you do not have an organization account.
  • Minimum required permissions for Trend Vision One to connect to your GitHub organization and code repositories. The app indicates required permissions before installation.

Procedure

  1. From the Trend Vision One console, navigate to Third-Party IntegrationsGitHub.
  2. Click Add integration to open the Add GitHub Integration drawer.
  3. Under deployment scope, select the solution or capability that you want to associate with this integration. Currently, Code Security is available.

  4. Click Install from GitHub Marketplace to open the GitHub Marketplace page.

    If you have already installed the Trend Vision One GitHub app, you can copy the installation ID to complete GitHub integration.
    To copy the installation ID:
    1. From GitHub, navigate to SettingsApplications.
    2. Select Configure for the Code Security app.
    3. Copy the ID from the URL that appears. For example, 1234567 from https://github.com/settings/installations/1234567.
  5. Select All repositories, and then click Install.
    After installation, the installation ID automatically appears in the Add GitHub Integration drawer.
  6. Click Save in the Add GitHub Integration drawer to complete the integration.
After the GitHub integration is complete and saved, a Connected status appears next to the app in the Third-Party Integrations list. You can now view findings and scan results for the solution you selected.
