Organize managed customers into groups based on region, function, or other criteria to simplify role-based access control management.

Customer groups allow you to organize managed customers into a hierarchical structure. When you assign a customer group to a custom role, all associated management and access scope settings apply to the customers within that group. Adding new customers to an existing group automatically inherits the group settings, removing the need to reconfigure role assignments individually.
You can manage customer groups using the Company Groups panel on the left side of Customer ManagementCustomer Overview.

Create a group

  1. In the Company Groups panel, right-click an existing group to create a child group, or click Create a group.
  2. In the Create Group dialog, specify a unique name for the group.
    Note
    Note
Group names have a maximum of 256 characters.
  3. Under Add to, select the parent group to place the new group under.
  4. Optionally, use the Search company field to find and add companies to the new group.
  5. Click Submit.
The new group appears in the Company Groups tree. The company tree expands to the hierarchical level where the action was initiated, and the new group defaults to the same parent group that triggered the action.
