Create, edit, and delete tagging rules to automatically tag assets that meet the rule conditions.

The following table outlines the actions available in Automated tagging.

Description
Create automated tagging rules
Click + Create rule to add a new rule for automated tagging.
Edit automated tagging rules
Click the edit_icon=GUID-1F1D1164-5310-4D6D-ACD0-6049C86960AF.png icon to edit an existing rule.

Editing a rule removes tags previously assigned to assets by the rule, except for assignable platform tags.
To remove assignable platform tags from assets, manually remove the assets in Tag library. Note that to remove the CREM exception list tag from one or more assets, you must manually remove the assets from the exception list in Attack Surface Discovery.
Run automated tagging rules
Click the run_icon=cbe6ecd0-17e8-4e04-bef3-4efe4eb9c7e5.png icon to immediately run an enabled rule.
Tip
Tip
To run a disabled rule, you must first edit the rule and change the status to Enabled.
Delete automated tagging rules
Click the trash_icon=GUID-47cf6867-6315-438e-8670-86ff36f22a28.png icon to delete a tagging rule.
