Use a customized credit usage calculation mode specifically designed for academic institutions.

For customers utilizing Microsoft or Google education plans, Trend Vision One Email and Collaboration Security offers a customized credit usage calculation mode tailored to their unique academic environments.
This feature is designed specifically for academic institutions that use special licensing suites from identity providers (IdPs) such as Microsoft, which typically bill only for faculty members and exclude students. To align with these licensing models, Email and Collaboration Security allows eligible customers to selectively use credits based on specific user groups. This helps ensure accurate billing, avoids unnecessary credit consumption, and supports compliance with academic pricing structures.

Procedure

  1. Click Set credit usage units in the Email Asset Inventory screen.
  2. Select the deployment for which you want to manage credit usage by clicking the corresponding tab.
  3. Configure credit usage calculation units as necessary.
