Once you have added a subscription and its storage accounts, you need to enable scanning for each account. You can enable scanning either one storage account or multiple storage accounts at a time. Only files that are being moved into the storage account are being scanned. Files already present in the account are not scanned. After scanning, files remain in their original location with metatags indicating their status.

Procedure

  1. On the File Security Inventory page, select the Azure Subscription in the accounts tree.
  2. Select the region.
  3. Select the storage accounts in which you want to enable scanning
  4. From the Scanning settings list, select Modify scanning.
  5. Verify the selected storage accounts.
  6. Enable Scanning.
  7. Click Save.
    The Status changes to Scanning on and the indicator circle turns green on the Inventory page.
