Review the naming logic for how Trend Vision One populates AWS account names that were connected individually using the single account template.
Trend Vision One uses the following logic to populate the names of AWS single accounts:
-
AWS account alias: If the AWS account has an AWS account alias, then that is used as the account display name in the Cloud Accounts app. An account alias is a name assigned to an AWS account instead of using the 12-digit account ID.
-
User-provided account name: If the account does not have an alias, then Trend Vision One uses the account name that you provided during the connection process.

Note
AWS account aliases are optional and uniquely identify an individual AWS account. If you configure an alias for your AWS account after connecting it to Trend Vision One, the display name will update to use the alias during the next CloudFormation stack update. You must manually update the stack to apply the latest account name changes. For more information about creating account aliases, see Creating an account alias in the AWS documentation.
