Configuring the ActiveUpdate Service to manage updates for connected products.

The ActiveUpdate service requires configuring the ActiveUpdate source URLs and generating a local ActiveUpdate URL for products to connect to the Service Gateway.

Procedure

  1. Go to Workflow and Automation → Service Gateway Management.
  2. Click the name of the Service Gateway virtual appliance with ActiveUpdate installed.
  3. Locate the ActiveUpdate service on the Installed Services table and click the configure icon (configure=GUID-657DB993-ADC7-4DEC-8C62-C8739D74760E.png).
  4. Configure update source.
    1. Click Add.
    2. Specify the URL.

    3. Specify a Description.
    4. Click the check icon (check=GUID-981520C7-6FAE-4D0D-B5F6-54259982DA5A.png) to add the URL to the list.
  5. Generate a local ActiveUpdate URL.
    1. Select the Protocol and Type.
    2. Select the Update source.
    3. Click Generate.
    4. Copy the URL to the product you want to connect to the Service Gateway (for example, Apex One).
  6. Specify how often to download updates for connected products.
  7. Click Save.
