Learn how Trend Vision One calculates the number of credits to draw down from your balance based on your monthly usage of Cyber Risk Exposure Management capabilities.
Trend Vision One calculates a monthly credit drawdown to deduct from your credit balance based on
your usage of each Trend Vision One solution. Cyber Risk Exposure Management bases your usage on the assessed or assessable assets discovered in your environment.
There are two assessment features you can enable depending on the types of assets
you want to assess for risk. Each assessment feature counts the following asset types
toward your total usage:
-
Device assessment:
-
All Trend Micro agent-managed devices except:
-
Agent-managed devices running mobile operating systems (Android, iOS)
-
Agent-managed devices on the exception list in Attack Surface Discovery
-
-
All unmanaged desktops and servers discovered in your environment except:
-
Unmanaged desktops and servers with risk scores equal to zero
-
Unmanaged desktops and servers on the exception list in Attack Surface Discovery
-
-
Network infrastructure devices discovered by Network Vulnerability Scanner with risk scores greater than zero
-
-
Cloud account assessment:
-
Cloud resources in cloud accounts connected to Trend Vision One that have Cyber Risk Exposure Management enabled
-
Cyber Risk Exposure Management uses a snapshot-based model for determining your monthly credit usage. Qualifying
assets are counted every hour on the hour. The peak usage hour in a day is used as
a snapshot of your daily usage. When determining your monthly credit drawdown, the
highest 15% of daily snapshots are excluded as outliers. Of the remaining daily snapshots,
the snapshot with the highest usage determines your credit drawdown.
For example:
-
You want to see your estimated credit drawdown for Cyber Risk Exposure Management as of April 20.
-
Trend Vision One excludes the three days (15%) with the highest usage snapshots.
-
Your estimated credit drawdown as of April 20 is the highest usage snapshot from the remaining 17 days, rounded to the nearest whole number.
Two pricing packages are available for device assessment. Each pricing package includes
different capabilities and uses a different amount of credits per asset. The following
table describes the pricing packages available for Cyber Risk Exposure Management and the credits used for each.
