December 8, 2025—New enhancements in Attack Surface Discovery make it easier for you
to understand why some internet-facing assets receive a risk score of 0.0.
Some internet-facing assets with 0.0 risk scores may actually contain no risk. However,
it is more likely that Attack Surface Discovery has received incomplete or inconsistent
information about the asset during assessment. Assets with incomplete or inconsistent
information cannot complete assessment, so a risk score cannot be calculated. Trend
Micro recommends investigating assets with 0.0 risk scores to confirm whether the
asset hosting method is causing inconsistent information to be returned during assessment.
