You can use the Datto RMM Web Portal to manage Security Agents on Windows endpoints for your Worry-Free Business Security Services customers by creating and scheduling jobs that perform tasks using Trend Micro components. Routine tasks such as endpoint scans can be configured to occur on a scheduled basis.

Deploy Security Agent
Installs Security Agents on unmanaged endpoints
The following table describes the tasks performed by the Trend Micro Worry-Free Services–Tasks component.

Tasks other than Unload and Uninstall never require a password. Leave the unload_uninstall_password field blank.

Start Normal Scan
Starts a normal manual scan
Start Aggressive Scan
Starts an advanced scan to analyze and clean threats that Normal Scan cannot remove
Stop Scan
Stops any scan that the Security Agents are performing
Update Agent
Updates the Security Agents
Unload Agent
Unloads the Security Agents and restarts them based on selection
Choose from the following options:
  • Unload Agent and restart immediately
  • Unload Agent and restart manually
  • Unload Agent for 15 minutes
  • Unload Agent for 30 minutes
  • Unload Agent for 60 minutes
  • Unload Agent for 120 minutes

Jobs using an Unload command may require that you specify the unload password configured on the Worry-Free Services console. If you do not have a password configured, leave the unload_uninstall_password field blank.
To ensure that all Security Agents can accept the specified password, only select multiple Job Targets that use the same password.
