Use the Diagnostic Toolkit to create Trend Micro Portable Security 3 configuration files that can be imported to multiple Sync Agent installations.

  1. From the Start menu of the Trend Micro Portable Security 3 endpoint, click Trend Micro Portable Security 3 > Trend Micro Portable Security 3 Diagnostic Toolkit.

    If you are using a different endpoint, you can do the following:

    1. Plug-in the Trend Micro Portable Security 3 Scanning Tool to the endpoint.
    2. Copy the SupportTool folder from the USB device into your local drive.
    3. Double-click the TMPSSuprt.exe file ().
  2. Go to the [D] Control Manager tab.
  3. Specify the following details:
    • Server FQDN or IP address: Server FQDN or IP address of the Control Manager server

    • Port: Port used to connect to the Control Manager server

    • Connect using HTTPS: Enable if the connection uses HTTPS

    • Sync Agent display name: Name of the Sync Agent that appears on the Control Manager server

    • Product Directory location: Location of the Sync Agent endpoint in the Control Manager directory tree

    • Application ID: Application ID generated by the Control Manager server

    • API Key: API key generated by the Control Manager server

    • Use a proxy server: Enable if the connection uses a proxy server

      If the connection uses a proxy server, specify the proxy server details.

    • Sync Agent Activation code: Activation Code of the Sync Agent installation

      Note:

      The Activation Code can only be applied to a limited number of seats. To determine how many seats are applicable for an Activation Code, contact Trend Micro support.

  4. Click Export to File.
  5. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the exported file, and click OK.
