After completing an online purchase, Trend Micro sends licensing and registration information,
including a number that is used during the product registration process. The number
needed for
registration is either a Serial Number or a Registration Key.
A Serial Number is 24 characters in length, including hyphens,
in the following format:
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
A Registration Key is 22 characters in length, including hyphens,
in the following format:
XX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Most Trend Micro products use a Registration Key.
