After you have obtained an Activation Code either from your product package or purchased through a Trend Micro reseller, activate SMD to use all of its functions, including downloading updated program components.
To activate SMD:
  1. Open the SMD Configuration Database.
  2. On the left menu, click Administration → Product License.
  3. Creating a license profile.
  4. Delete the license profile created during installation.
