When FoxProxy receives messages, it performs a DNS query on FoxDNS. If Bind is not running, FoxProxy continues to wait until the DNS query times out.

Procedure

  • Verify that the bind service is running on the computer where FoxDNS is installed:
    1. Type the following command:
      ps –ef | grep named
    2. Start the service if it is not running.
