In this model, IMSS is located between
an upstream and downstream mail server, with MTAs located in other places on the
network.
The greatest advantage of this model is better performance and faster throughput.
However, with
this model, you cannot use IP Profiler or ERS, which requires that there are no
modifications to incoming IP addresses before they reach IMSS.
