Connect a deployed Deep Discovery Inspector appliance to Trend Vision One using a Service Gateway as a proxy.

Procedure

  1. If you want to use Network Analytics as a Service, disconnect from Deep Discovery Director - Network Analytics.
  2. Make sure your Service Gateway has the Forward Proxy Service configured.
  3. Configure your firewall to allow communication with port 8080.
    Service Gateway uses port 8080 as the default port for the Forward Proxy service.
  4. In the Trend Vision One console, go to Network Security OperationsNetwork InventoryDeep Discovery Inspector Appliances.
  5. Click Connect Appliance.
  6. For Product, select Deployed Deep Discovery Inspector.
  7. Select 6.7 or later.
  8. Select Connect using a Service Gateway as proxy from the connection method list.
  9. Select a Service Gateway from the list.
  10. Specify the Deep Discovery Inspector appliance IP address or FQDN.
    You can only access appliances that are part of your corporate network or that you can reach directly.
  11. Click Go.
    The Deep Discovery Inspector appliance console opens.
  12. On the Deep Discovery Inspector console, sign in with an administrator account.
  13. (Optional) Change the password.
  14. In the Registering to Trend Vision One dialog, click Continue to confirm the process.
  15. In the Trend Vision One console, go to Network Security OperationsNetwork InventoryDeep Discovery Inspector Appliances to verify the connection status.

    When Deep Discovery Inspector connects to Trend Vision One, Deep Discovery Inspector creates the Trend Vision One Administrator and Trend Vision One Viewer accounts automatically.
