Procedure

  1. On the Trend Micro Apex One server computer, browse to <Server installation folder>\PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\TCacheGen.
  2. Choose a version of the VDI Pre-Scan Template Generation Tool. The following versions are available:

    TCacheGenCli.exe
    Choose both TCacheGenCli.exe file and TCacheGen.exe if you want to run the tool directly on a 32-bit platform.
    TCacheGen_x64.exe
    TCacheGenCli_x64.exe
    Choose both TCacheGenCli_x64.exe and TCacheGen_x64.exe if you want to run the tool directly on a 64-bit platform.
  3. Copy the files that you chose in the previous step to the <Agent installation folder> in the target VM template.
  4. Run the tool.
    • To run the tool directly:
      1. Right-click TCacheGen.exe or TCacheGen_x64.exe and select Run as administrator.
      2. Select Remove GUID from Template and click Next.
    • To run the tool from the command line interface as an administrator:
      1. Click the Start menu and type "cmd".
      2. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
      3. Change the directory to <Agent installation folder>.
      4. Type the following command:
        TCacheGenCli Remove GUID
        Or
        TcacheGenCli_x64 Remove GUID
  5. Provide the Security Agent unload password (if applicable).
