Enabling or Disabling Real-time Scan

Trend Micro™ Security (for Macintosh) provides multiple options for enabling or disabling Real-time Scan.

To enable or disable Real-time Scan:

From the Protection Status screen, click the Real-time Scan ON/OFF toggle button.

From the Trend Micro T-ball quick menu, click Enable Real-time Scan or Disable Real-time Scan.

To enable or disable Real-time Scan from the Protection Status screen:

Step 1

Click the Real-time Scan link. The Real-time Scan settings screen appears.

Step 2

Select Enable Real-time Scan or uncheck Enable Real-time Scan.

To enable or disable Real-time Scan from the Trend Micro Security (for Macintosh) Standalone application menu:

Step 1

Click Trend Micro Security (for Macintosh) Standalone > Preferences.

Step 2

Click Scans > Real-time Scan.

Step 3

Select Enable Real-time Scan to enable or uncheck Enable Real-time Scan to disable Real-time Scan.

To enable or disable Real-time Scan from the Trend Micro T-ball quick menu:

Step 1

Click the Trend Micro T-ball logo > Open Preferences.

Step 2

Click Scans > Real-time Scan.

Step 3

Select Enable Real-time Scan to enable or uncheck Enable Real-time Scan to disable Real-time Scan.
