Backup_and_Restore
Configuration settings include both the Threat Discovery Appliance and Network Configuration settings. You can back up the settings by exporting them to an encrypted file. You can then import the file to restore settings in case of a problem.
You can also reset Threat Discovery Appliance by restoring the default settings that shipped with the product.
Take note of the following:
Most or all settings on the following screens are not backed up:
Smart Protection Settings in the Web Reputation screen
The encrypted file cannot be modified.
Importing an encrypted file overwrites all the current settings on Threat Discovery Appliance.
The encrypted file can also be used to replicate settings on another Threat Discovery Appliance.
To back up settings to an encrypted file:
Administration > Backup/Restore
Click Backup under Backup Current Configuration. A File Download screen displays.
Click Save, browse to the target location of the file, and then click Save.
To import an encrypted file:
Administration > Backup/Restore
Before importing a file, back up the current configurations by performing the steps under To back up settings to an encrypted file:.
Click Browse under Restore Configuration (from backup). The Choose File screen appears.
Select the encrypted file to import and click Restore Configuration. A confirmation message appears.
Click OK. Threat Discovery Appliance restarts after importing the configuration file.
To restore the default settings that shipped with the product:
Administration > Backup/Restore
Before restoring settings, back up the current configurations by performing the steps under To back up settings to an encrypted file:.
Click Reset to Default Settings. A confirmation message appears.
Click OK. Threat Discovery Appliance restarts.
