Managing Devices on Legacy SecureCloud Agents Parent topic

The SecureCloud Configuration Tool encounters some limitations with legacy versions of SecureCloud (versions 2.0 and 3.0). To overcome these difficulties, Trend Micro provides a Self-Provision Tool, selfprov.py, so that users can encrypt devices on legacy agents and move devices to them. You can receive the Self-Provision Tool by contacting technical support (refer to Contacting Technical Support). Choose the task that is appropriate:
This feature has the following limitations:
  • If you encrypt a device on a legacy agent this way, the device will be a legacy device. In other words, you cannot encrypt or provision a SecureCloud version 3.5 or later device on a SecureCloud version 2.0 or 3.0 agent.
  • The legacy SecureCloud Agent is unable to provision RAID devices.
  • The SecureCloud Agent must have been previously registered. Users will be unable to register the legacy SecureCloud Agent before attempting to encrypt a device on it.
