The
SecureCloud
Configuration Tool encounters some limitations with legacy versions of
SecureCloud (versions 2.0 and 3.0). To overcome these
difficulties,
Trend Micro provides a
Self-Provision
Tool,
selfprov.py, so that users can encrypt devices on legacy
agents and move devices to them. You can receive the
Self-Provision Tool by
contacting technical support (refer to
Contacting Technical Support). Choose the task that is
appropriate:
This feature has the following limitations:
-
If you encrypt a device on a legacy agent this way, the device will be a legacy device.
In
other words, you cannot encrypt or provision a SecureCloud
version 3.5 or later device on a SecureCloud version 2.0 or
3.0 agent.
-
The legacy SecureCloud Agent is unable to provision RAID devices.
-
The SecureCloud Agent must have been previously registered. Users
will be unable to register the legacy SecureCloud Agent before
attempting to encrypt a device on it.
