Start and Stop the Agent Service

The following situations require you to manually stop or start the Runtime Agent service:

Stop the agent service before provisioning a device
Ensure that the agent service is started before running the key exporter function before decrypting an encryption key

On Linux-based agents:

Run the following commands:

Start the service:	/etc/init.d/scagentd start
Stop the service:	/etc/init.d/scagentd stop

On Windows-based agents, open the Services snap-in:

Toggle the control to Start or Stop.
