Procedure
- On the Central Management Console Administration > Notifications > System
Notifications tab, click Add Notification.
The Notification Settings page
appears.
- Provide a name (required) and description.
You can identify your notification based on its name. It
will be faster and easier for you to identify and pick a notification
from the list.
- Type the email address(es) of
person(s) who will receive the notifications. Use a semicolon (;)
to separate multiple email addresses.
- Specify the email subject, header, contents,
and footer.
These predefined values sort of become your notification
template.
- Select the condition(s) that will
trigger SecureCloud to send a notification.
-
To replace the default message that comes with
each condition, type a new message in the text box.
-
To use a variable in the message, place the cursor in
the desired position in the text, click Insert Variable,
and then choose the appropriate variable.
- Select Include SNMP Alert to receive
real-time consolidated SecureCloud alerts through your network management
server.
The
SNMP
Settings must be set. Otherwise, SNMP alerts will not be
sent.
- Specify the frequency when SecureCloud
sends consolidated or single email notifications.
A consolidated notification is an email that
contains all issued notifications.
- Click Save.
The new notification appears in the Notifications page.
