Add IP address groups that contain a single or a range of IP addresses to apply to cloud access rules, gateway settings, and reports.

Procedure

  1. Go to Policies → OBJECTS → IP Address Groups.
  2. Configure the IP address groups.

    Add/Edit an IP address group
    Click Add or select an existing group under Group Name, and then specify the settings in the window that appears. For details, see Configuring An IP Address Group.
    Delete an IP address group
    Select one or several groups, and then click Delete.

    After an IP address group is deleted, it is automatically removed from the corresponding cloud access rules, gateway settings, and reports.
    Duplicate an IP address group
    This feature is a convenient way of adding a new IP address group with settings similar to an existing group.
    Select a group and click Duplicate. Under Group Name, click the duplicated group and then specify settings on the new screen that appears.

    You can duplicate only one IP address group at a time.
    View data in table columns
    The table columns show the same data that you configured when you added or edited a group.
    Import IP address groups
    1. Click Import/Export IP Address Groups.
    2. On the Import/Export IP Address Groups screen that appears, select Import, choose the file that you want to import, and then click Import.

      TMWS currently supports importing IP address groups from a comma-separated values (CSV) file only. To ensure the success of the import, we strongly recommend that you download the sample file to view the required file headers.
      The Group Name, Description, and Details fields automatically populate with the related data from the file.
    Export IP address groups
    1. Click Import/Export IP Address Groups.
    2. On the Import/Export IP Address Groups screen that appears, select Export and then click Export. The IP address groups are exported to the browser's default download location.

      TMWS currently supports exporting IP address groups in a comma-separated values (CSV) file only.
    Search for an IP address group
    Type a keyword or part of the keyword related to either column in the table in the Search text box.

    If there are many entries in the table, type some characters in the Search text box to narrow down the entries. As you type, the entries that match the characters you typed are displayed immediately. TMWS searches all cells in the table for matches.

    To use IP address groups in cloud access rules,
    • Route the HTTP/HTTPS requests from each IP address in the groups to a TMWS virtual gateway or on-premises gateway.
    • If you use a TMWS virtual gateway, make sure that the HTTP/HTTPS requests from each IP address in the groups contain the X-Forwarded-For (XFF) header with the IP address as its first value.
