Procedure
- Verify that all of the agent installation prerequisites have been completed.
- Run
FileEncryptionInst.exe
The File Encryption Setup Wizard appears. - Click Next.
Note
If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.The File Encryption installer initiates and automatically installs the agent. - When the installation completes, click Close.
- Click Yes to restart Windows.The endpoint restarts and File Encryption is installed. Two File Encryption icons display: one shortcut on the desktop and one tray icon. After the desktop loads, it may take a moment for the agent to initiate.
- From the File Encryption Login screen, set the following
parameters.
Option Description User nameSpecify the user name of an account with permission to add devices to the Enterprise.PasswordSpecify the password for the user name.Server nameSpecify the PolicyServer IP address, host name, or FQDN and include the port number assigned to that configuration.EnterpriseSpecify the Enterprise. Only one Enterprise is supported. - Click OK to complete installation.
- Go to the system tray and click the
icon to open the File Encryption agent.
