Antivirus for Mac includes several major components that need updates to protect you from new kinds of malicious software and unsafe websites.
To update all of the Antivirus for Mac components, click the Trend Micro icon near the top right corner of your screen, and select Update Now.... If you have already opened Antivirus for Mac, click Update Now on the Overview window.
Viewing Software Components
Antivirus for Mac contains many systems that protect against computer viruses, spyware, unsafe websites, and so forth. A list keeps track of when each major component last received an update needed to recognize new security threats. If you ever need technical support, this information may help with troubleshooting a problem.
Viewing the Software Version Number
You can use one of the following methods to see the version number of Antivirus for Mac:
- Click the Antivirus for Mac icon near the top right corner of your screen, and then select Open Trend Micro Antivirus...
- Click Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac near the top left corner of your screen, and then select About Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac.
- On the main console, move your mouse cursor to the Trend Micro Antivirus title on the top and wait for the version number to appear.
Viewing Your Serial Number
To see the serial number of Antivirus for Mac:
- Click the Antivirus for Mac icon near the top right corner of your screen, and then select Open Trend Micro Antivirus...
- Click Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac near the top left corner of the screen, and then select Subscription....
