Performing Manual Update

Updates > Manual

Threat Discovery Appliance checks to see if any components are out-of-date and gives you the option to update the components on demand. This is a useful feature during outbreaks, when updates do not arrive according to a fixed schedule.

To configure manual updates:

1. Click Updates on the main menu. A drop down menu displays.

2. Click Manual from the drop-down menu. The Manual Updates screen displays.

• Note: Threat Discovery Appliance automatically checks which components need updating. Clicking Update will automatically prompt Threat Discovery Appliance to update the components. (See Manual Update for a list of the components.)

3. Click Update to start updating components.

• Note: If there is a new Threat Discovery Appliance firmware or Network Content Inspection Engine, you will be prompted to restart the device.
