Viewing Firewall Logs

Firewall logs are generated when a firewall rule is matched or when the firewall feature (such as the predefined security level or IDS) blocks a connection.

To view firewall logs:

  1. In the Device Management screen, click Logs > Firewall Log. The Firewall Log screen displays.

  2. Specify the query criteria for the logs you want to view. The parameters are:

  3. Time period: select a predefined date range. If the period you require is not covered by the above options, select Range and specify a date range.

  4. From: type the date for the earliest log you want to view. Click the icon to select a date from the calendar.

  5. To: type the date for the latest log you want to view. Click the icon to select a date from the calendar.

  6. Sort by: choose the log sort order and grouping from the drop-down.

  1. Click Display Logs to begin the query.
