Outbreak Prevention Mode

Perform the following steps to start Outbreak Prevention Mode. You must have already completed the previous steps to start Outbreak Prevention Mode.

To start Outbreak Prevention Mode:

1. Under Outbreak Prevention Policy, in the Policy in effect for list, choose the number of days that Control Manager continues in Outbreak Prevention Mode.

2. From the Deployment plan list, choose a plan to deploy the Outbreak Prevention Policies to the managed products.

3. Under Outbreak Prevention Policy Details, select the Do not block permitted port numbers specified in the Outbreak Prevention settings check box to ensure ports defined as exceptions are not blocked.

4. Configure managed product settings.

5. Click Recommended Settings.

6. Click Activate.

7. Click OK to start Outbreak Prevention Mode. The icon appears on the management console.

8. Control Manager automatically generates OPS reports after each OPS task completes.
