Account Management Tool Tutorial

This tutorial shows how to use the account management tool. Use this tool to view, add, modify, or delete login credentials for the target machines and domains you want to add in the Select Machines. See also Selecting Machines.

This tool is only accessible from the machine hosting the Control Manager Server. When using the account management tool, you cannot input IP addresses.

Viewing All Existing Domains and Machines

To view all existing domains and machines:

  1. Click Start > Program Files > Trend Micro Control Manager > Account Management Tool to open the account management tool.

  1. Select Domain or Machine next to Type to view all existing domains and machines and the available description. The default is Domain.

  2. Click Exit to close the tool.

Adding a Domain or Machine

To add a domain or machine:

  1. Click Start > Program Files > Trend Micro Control Manager > Account Management Tool to open the account management tool.

  1. Click Add... to add a domain or machine. The Add a New Account screen appears.

  2. Select Domain or Machine next to Type. The default is Domain.

  3. Do one of the following:

  4. Click Apply.

  5. Click OK to save this setting.

  6. Click OK. The domain appears in the list under Accounts.

  7. Click Exit to close the tool.

Deleting a Domain or Machine

To delete a domain or machine:

  1. Click Start > Program Files > Trend Micro Control Manager > Account Management Tool to open the account management tool.

  1. Select Domain or Machine next to Type to view all existing domains and machines and the available description. The default is Domain.

  2. Do one of the following:

  3. Click OK to save this setting.

  4. Click OK in the confirmation screen.

  5. Click Exit to close the tool.

Modifying Domain or Machine Information

To modify domain and machine information:

  1. Click Start > Program Files > Trend Micro Control Manager > Account Management Tool to open the account management tool.

  1. Select Domain or Machine next to Type to view all existing domains and machines and the available description. The default is Domain.

  2. Do one of the following:

  4. Click OK in the confirmation screen.

  5. Click Exit to close the tool.
