A report profile lays out the content (template and format), target, frequency, and recipient of a report. You can view reports in the following file formats:
RTF — Use a word processor (for example, Microsoft Word™) to view Rich Text Format (*.RTF ) reports.
PDF — Use Adobe Reader™ to view Portable Document Format (*.PDF ) reports.
ActiveX — Use a Web browser to view reports in the ActiveX™ format.
Control Manager cannot send reports in ActiveX format as email attachments.
RPT — Use Crystal Smart Viewer™ to view reports in the Crystal Report format (*.RPT ).
When the Report Server finishes generating the report, it launches the default viewer for that report file format. For RPT reports, you must have the Crystal Smart Viewer installed.
