Responding to Pending Encryption Key Requests Parent topic

Pending encryption key requests display on the Active Keys screen of the SecureCloud Web Console if:
  • A key request meets all conditions defined in the policy and the policy's action is set to manual key approval
  • A key request violates a condition defined in the policy and the policy's action is set to manual key approval
  • A machine or its devices do not pass an integrity check and the policy's action is set to Manual revoke or Revoke encryption key
Note
Note
Pending key requests also display on the Active Keys screen if the policy assigned to the machine has no rules defined. In this situation SecureCloud identifies the key request as Pending and requiring evaluation by a SecureCloud administrator.
SecureCloud administrators must manually approve or deny Pending encryption key requests.

Procedure

  1. On the Active Keys screen, check the Integrity of the encryption key request.
  2. If desired, click the Pending hyperlink in the Key Status column to see the policy rules that apply to this machine and the corresponding values.
  3. Respond to the encryption key request in one of the following two ways:
    • To approve a Pending encryption key request, select the request and click Approve.
    • To deny a Pending encryption key request, select the request and click Deny.
The Key Status updates to reflect the new status of the encryption key request: Approved, Delivered, or Denied.
