Step 1: Specify Rules (MOSS 2010/WSS 4.0)

To specify policy rules:

  1. On the left menu, click Content Filtering. The Content Filtering screen appears.

  2. Click Add. The Content Filtering: Add Policy > Step 1: Specify Rules screen appears.

  3. To add or remove keywords:

  4. Select Add keyword from the drop down and type the keyword(s) or regular expression, then, click Add.

  1. From the Match drop down, select from the following options:

  2. Any specified keyword—select this option if you want this rule to trigger when any keyword or compliance pattern is found and matched

  3. All specified keywords—select this option if you want this rule to trigger when all keywords or compliance patterns are found and matched

  4. You can export or import a keyword list to or from a text file (.txt) using the Export or Import keys located next to the keyword list.

  1. Select Match case if you want to match the case of the listed keywords.

  2. The Match case and Match Synonym options are only supported if you select Add Keyword.

  1. Set Match synonym settings according to the following:

  2. Click Show details to expand the synonym settings section.

  3. Select a keyword from the keyword list to display its synonym(s) in the Synonyms to exclude window.

  4. Move one or more synonyms to the left Synonyms to include window. Multi-select using the Ctrl key.

  1. Click Next >.
